As a founder of Ensemble VC, Gopinath is the preeminent data scientist in venture capital and startups. Gopi has leveraged his diverse experience to build our successful data product. Before founding Ensemble VC, Gopinath was the Head of Data Science at the Kauffman Fellows VC Fund , where his data platform helped identify top startups, leading to incredibly successful returns. Prior to that, Gopi was the first data scientist at IBM Watson Health and led multiple large engagements using one of the largest patient health datasets—truly “big data” in every sense. Prior to IBM Watson, Gopi was a data scientist at BetterDoctor, where he helped the startup develop algorithms that better match patients with the right doctors. Gopi had also developed the metrics used to measure the accuracy and quality of their proprietary data. Prior to that, Gopi was a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Earlier in his career, Gopi was also a computational researcher at Cellworks, where he developed differential equation-based mathematical models to better understand human disease conditions. Gopi holds both a master’s degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Systems Biology & Physiology from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, with an emphasis on gene regulatory networks. Gopinath also earned a Bachelor of Science in biotechnology with first class distinction at the R.V. College of Engineering.

Neenah brings valuable operational leadership from her role as Senior Vice President of Finance at IPcelerate, where she guided the company from startup to profitability in under three years. With experience at Goldman Sachs, The World Bank, the New York City Mayor's Office, and Zipline, she is skilled at structuring financial transactions, operating large-scale projects, and leading public-private partnerships. Across her career, she has invested in cities and the infrastructure and technology that drives them forward. Sonam’s interest in urban development is rooted in her lived experience. Growing up in a working class family in Chicago, she understands how inadequate housing, transportation, and environmental protections limit upward mobility. The first in her family to attend college, Sonam received a full scholarship to Harvard University and earned a BA in Government, Economics, and Visual & Environmental Studies. She loves being active in her community and volunteers with the Girl Scouts, the Women’s Impact Alliance, and Climate Tech Cities.
